Dinnerware Remainders : DINNERWARE REMAINDERS
Well....after 50 years of making dinnerware ...here I am winding down my studio life ...slowly.
I am not making dinnerware presently. Some of my best older dinnerware will continue to show up here as I work through my
collection of pots saved over these last 5 decades. Now and then there may be some more recent pieces that will trickle into place
here.
Perhaps when we are moved into our California situation .....there may be further work in dinnerware. I will certainly be as interested as
you might be to see what develops !

In the mean time...
You never know what you may find, so please check back periodically and see!

If you see pots you wish to purchase, please go to the TO PURCHASE page for convenient directions on how to do so. Thanks !
John

Lidded Boxes : Lidded Boxes ...a long time fascination for me through the years. This series are the latest editions to a group of forms that have populated my approach to box forms beginning in 1965.
All are stoneware made with a combination of extruded parts and hand building to alter the forms. Now you will begin to see the inclusion of boxes showing the history of development or
the box form since the 1960's from my 59 year fascination with the concept ...."box".

Wall panels : Panels depicting landscape themes were a major passion for many years .

From the mid 70's on I had a vision concerning the depiction of landscape themes on flat panels of clay.
During a residency at the Syracuse Clay Institute late 70's a program created by Margie Hughto, I had my first chance to create an extended body
of panels exploring the landscape idea.

Still, it took me over ten yeas to return to the idea and then a large series of wall mounted panels came about in sizes ranging from 6" x 6" to as large as 24" x 24".

Here are examples from that nearly 6 year period of intense exploration that I did along side my co- companion ...a love of function based works.

Collection of pots for containing : Our own personal collection: for years we've chosen pots by artists whose work we admire.
But since we're heading to a much smaller living space, we have to ...(gulp), downsize!
So, some of our "faves" are being made available to you. I hope you find some pots to adopt!

Mugs and Cups&Saucers : MUGS

I have long enjoyed making and using mugs. The mug form has been a happy part of my work for 50 years at present count and will continue evolving.

A recent resident artist at Plum Tree Pottery, Tyra Forker calls mugs ..."happy friends" and I couldn't agree more with that description.

If you see pots you wish to purchase, please go to the TO PURCHASE page for convenient directions on how to do so. Some mugs have a date of making to show where in my history of making pots they were produced. Thanks !
