7-27-2011 AH! Point of impact. This small sea bird spent his afternoon fishing for Salmon eggs.
1-19-2011 OK, if the clouds make taking a shot of the moon difficult, I will try something different. How about a timed exposure of the moon in the trees reflected off of the lake?
1-4-2011 Mind games. Intentionally under exposed to make you wonder if it is really a reflection or what?
1-21-2011 The moon came up over the lake and was so orange that I just had to try to get a shot. The pine tree in the foreground is very far away, but you can still see the pine cones hanging!
3-5-2011 Just east of Apache Junction, Arizona in the Superstition Mountains. The setting sun turned everything red just before the light faded and the cactus giants went to sleep.
1-20-2011 A locust skin caught my eye while out walking Rosie this morning. Once again, I had a shot in mind, but stumbled on something more interesting. I had to walk back to the trailer and get the tripod and macro lens to make it look like something. I tried my zoom, but it could not handle the lighting.
7-24-2011 A hike and a photo..that is my idea of a good day. This photo just happened to require an 8 mile hike!
7-26-2011 Old Number 73 pulling into the station to load up passenger cars for the trip up the pass.
12-5-2011 Busy place this Skagway, Alaska
