Served with the USAF's 428thFS/27thFW. Retired at Cannon AFB, NM on 23/09/82. Allocated to AMARC as FV0130. Later removed from storage and transported to the Sacramento ALC, McClellan AFB, CA for refurbishment and sale to Australia. Named 'Boneyard Wrangler', first F-111 to be recovered from the Boneyard on arrival at AMARC the aircraft had a total of 5766.1 flight hours. Used for the flyby during the 2000 Sydney Olympics Closing Ceremony over the Olympic Stadium. Avalon Airshow 2001. Grounded from 12/02/02 to 2003 due to wing failures.
