Seeing an ominous, darkening cloud pattern developing stretching from the Santa Monica Mountains south to the Palos Verdes peninsula, I headed out hoping to capture some pink bellies (clouds with their undersides illuminated in pink). Pink bellies never really fully developed but I caught this jet departing into the wispy, pastel clouds.

Will post more images of the developing cloud pattern Thursday.
