Taken along the stream on Newfound Gap road
Grand Falls, outside Flagstaff, Az., flows for only a couple of weeks out of the entire year. This part of the Little Colorado River is usually nothing more than a trickle throughout the year. Snowmelt from nearby mountains give this place its tremendous flow. I have been here many times only to find a dry riverbed. This time however, I got lucky....not counting my tire blowout over a lava rock.
