Barns : Old barns are a passion with me. I have been travelling the midwest photographing old and interesting barns for some years. Recent uploads does not necessarily mean recently taken. Up until March, 2008, I worked with a film camera so some pictures will be from scanned shots. Hope you find some you like and are interested in. Friends University, Wichita. Kansas : The main building, Davis Administration Building, was built in 1866 for Garfield Univ. and donated to the Quakers (Friends) in 1898. Garfield Univ. was built as a Christian college by the Christian Churches of Kansas. When built it was the largest educ. institution west of the Mississippi river. James Davis, a St. Louis Quaker, vowed to buy a college and give it to the Quakers using his first million dollars. Located in Wichita, KS.
