ArtistsFineArtandDigital > popular all-time > -Desire- Jan/Feb 2006 Acrylics The title comes from the emotion I get from the painting. Its actually less about a sexual desire, from my eyes (though thats there). But for my eyes, the positions show something to me about desire in other forms. Desire to please, desire to be close to, desire to love. Also, the black and white brings out that desire isn't something that is about looks. Its about only the colors that the person desiring sees. This was done on request from a student at StFX. I started out doing it in red, as you can see in the other work that looks like this one. The student asked it to be done in B&W. I was hesitant initially, but was quite happy with the result.
