Ring-necked Pheasant : Who would believe that a wild pheasant would one day jump up on my feeder and'munch out' on sunflower seeds? He became a regular visitor for a few months and disappeared from my life as quickly as he entered. He often followed me on walks and I was able to photograph him in natural settings!

San Bernard NWR on 3/02/09 minus the Ducks : A fairly clear, cool day with good light. Few flying birds in general including hawks. The Snow Geese are mostly gone, but plenty of ducks. The water level had been lowered so it made it easier for all to feed.

Ducks at San Bernard NWR on 3/02/09 : The staff had lowered the water level. This made it better for all the bobblers. I saw none of the diving ducks. Greenwing Teal more plentiful in the company of Bluewing Teal, Northern Shovelers, and Pintail. Mostly sitting, preening, and feeding. Few birds in flight.
