Brown Headed Cowbird. I rarely see one at the feeders and I almost missed this one. Maybe I'll catch it in better light at a later date. Fascinating bird, it's a brood parasite just like the cuckoo.
Chestnut-headed bee-eater @ Penang, Malaysia It was not easy to time the bird's arrival shot as these little guys flew in fast and in silent mode! However, as they loved to come back to the same perch again and again, it made the photographer's life easier by pre-focusing on the perch and wait in patience.
Eastern Towhee, Female
Bald Eagle fishing Mississippi River, IL
(Sphyrapicus ruber) This species of woodpecker common to Northwest America was captured in Juanita bay park, Kirkland WA. #93061261 © Payam Nashery - Photoarts
Captured on Lake Washington, Juanita Bay #94061140
Lazuli bunting, in our backyard taken from my kitchen window!
Pied-billed Grebe with babies riding on her back
I never get tired of these little guys! Have a blessed day!
Tufted Titmouse
The same male White-throated Kingfisher that liked tossing bugs also had a penchant for frogs.
Purple Finch - male. Captured at Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge! For those who are interested and followed the discussion about the Brown-headed Cowbird, there is a shot of a male in gallery. Have a blessed day!
