Point Pelee National Park : Point Pelee National Park is a narrow peninsula of land, of marsh and woodland habitats, that tapers to a sharp point in Lake Erie. It is also the southernmost point of mainland Canada and the location and extent of the tip changes with storms. Its geographic location and habitat make it an important part of the bird and butterfly migration corridor across Lake Erie. The peninsula is located on the crossroads of 2 major migration flyways and peak times for visitors are the spring and fall migrations. The Park was established in 1918, but human activity continued much as it had before the park was established. It was only in the seventies that the Park took a stronger stance on conservation and now the abandoned and limited access areas of the Park are reverting to their natural state.

Bruce Peninsula National Park : July 2010. The Bruce Peninsula National Park is located on the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario and separates Lake Huron from Georgian Bay. The Niagara Escarpment and the Bruce Trail pass through the park. The park comprises 156 square kilometres of mainly forested areas. The park has the largest contiguous forest in Southern Ontario and this large tract of forest provides good habitat for the larger predators. There are many trails of varying difficulty. Due to time constraints we only did two relatively easy trails. A loop along the Georgian Bay trail to the grotto, across the Bruce Trail and then return to the parking lot by the Horse Lake trail,
