Canon-EOS-5DMarkII - Most Popular All-Time : Today's moon, possibly my best yet. It's cross-lit, and the air isn't as putrid/thick as it's been lately.
I took two shots around 6:15, and they were okay. I went back out a bit later, put the tripod up on a terrace (frozen, snow covered) with only two sections of the legs extended, and shot again. I didn't have to wait for the "bounce" to dampen out: the 300+2.0TC was more stable from the get-go. There are some real tiny craters visible in this image that were blurs in the earlier shots.
Tripod resting on the terrace, Tv mode, 1/125s, spot meter, center focus, mirror lock-up, cable release, stabilizer off. 17-Dec-11
