The Holy Land- The Benedictine Monastery at Abu Gosh : The Abu-Gosh Benedictine Monastery is one of the most beautiful crusader buildings to have survived in Israel. Built some 1,000 years ago, on the spot of the water spring, on the main road to Jerusalem, the remains of the crusader resurrection church were restored by the French government and handed over to the Benedictine Order in the 19th century. Remnants of 12th century frescoes can be seen on the monastery walls, and a little spring flows out of the monastery crypt.

The Holy Land- Shepherds' Field, Palestine : When you visit Bethlehem you will also want to travel a short distance east of Bethlehem to the Christian village of Beit Sahour . Here you will find the Shepherds’ Field spoken of in the Bible: “And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.
But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.’” (Luke 2:8-10)

The church is beautifully adorned with tiled representations of that canticle in many of the worlds languages.
