"Mister" - Rest In Peace 03-10-09

Mister lived at the downtown marina. I spotted him a week ago. I fed him and my friend Kelly & I tried to catch him to take him to the vet. No success. :( Early yesterday morning, with the help from another gentleman named Marvin, we were able to catch him. I took him to the vets. Mister had a horrible case of mange, was extremely skinny, no bottom K9's, the top K9's broken, he wobbled very bad and he was an older kitty to boot.

While we were at the vets, he was partially sedated, medicated and given a bath to help ease the mange. During his bath, Mister had a cardiac arrest and died. He was resuscitated and eventually did breath on his own yet he would not come out of his partial sedation. Kelly & I transported him to another vet for further observation and treatment. During the coarse of our examination we had decided that it was and had been too much for him and his outcome didnt look good, especially being a feral cat who lives on the rocks. We made the choice to euthanize Mister. Today I received his blood work back and he also had kidney failure.

Even though he was not from my immediate family of animals, he will always be remembered & thought of.
What a courageous little man he was! Rest In Peace Mister!

The sad thing is, there are other kitty's down there like him, just not as bad yet. We will try to help as much as we can to get them healthy! Its just too hard for me to turn away now.
