Summiting Longs Peak 2006 : With fond memories of Mike Mcaffrey and I hiking Longs Peak back in 2002, we revisited the same campsite and path that we had taken back then. This time there were 5 of us, and the weather was even better than last time. We all made it up and down safe and sound, although very sore for the days afterward.

Southwest Colorado Trip : Heather and I took a week off to go see parts of Colorado that we have rarely if ever seen: Ouray, Silverton, Durango, and Crested Butte. We managed to see my parents for two days, get in a great 20 mile backpack trip, hang out in Durango, and then camp around Crested Butte for a couple of days. The scenery is some of the best I have ever seen, period, and the hiking was fantastic.
