Crown Point Vista House and Cape Horn June 2013 : The first 4 photos were taken at Cantecleer Point, looking at Vista House on Crown Point. Most of the other photos were taken from Vista House over-looking the Columbia River. In the background in some photos you can see Beacon Rock, WA. Vista Point can be reached via the Historic Columbia Highway, off 84, near Corbett, Oregon.
The last 4 pix were taken at Cape Horn, Washington, which is located along highway 14 near the beginning of the drive, if you are coming from Vancouver.

The Bridge of the Gods, Oregon-Washington June 2013 : The Bridge of the Gods crosses the Columbia River near Cascade Locks, Oregon, and Stevinson, Washington. It's the lowest point of the Pacific Crest Trail. All photos were taken on the Oregon side of teh bridge, meaning you are always looking into Washington. There are no places (at least, I didn't find any) in Washington that are easily accessible to photograph the bridge. I took the photos on 2 consecutive days from various points and angles. The first set was taken from Aquatic Park. Many people think the bridge is nothing special, but for me it was love at first sight last year. I wanted to walk across (yes, you may do this, you share the road with automblies) but the winds were very fierce that day. Well, next time. :)

Multnomah Falls, Oregon. June 2013 : Visit to Multnomah Falls, Oregon. I arrived when the sun was at the worst possible angle for a shot from the bottom up. The sun was right above the falls! After hiking to the bridge and returning back to road level, I searched for ... and found... a few nice angles.

Beacon Rock State Park Columbia Gorge, WA : Beacon Rock State Park is located on the WA side of the Columbia River Gorge. You can climb that rock by steep walk ways. I didn't as it was raining part time and getting late in the day. Next time! Took a mile long hike along a pleasant path though. Last 3 photos are Iphone pix. Bridge of the Gods. Columbia River, Washington/Oregon and Skamenia Lodge, WA : The Bridge of the Gods spans the Columbia River near Stevenson, WA. North side is WA, South side is OR. Speed limit is 15 mph. Good thing, because I was totally enchanted by this bridge the first time I crossed it. The views up and down the river are just gorgeous! The Bridge is also the lowest point of the Pacific Crest Trail. I dropped off my friend at the hotel and came right back to drive over it again. The photos are not that good as it was almost dark by the time I got to the bridge. (The last 6 pix are from my Iphone). But I will return to this divine bridge!
