Cuyahoga Valley National Park-Kendall Ledges : On a whim, my sister and I stopped at Kendall Ledges on the way home from Mantua. It had rained all morning and the sun was peaking thru. The loop trail is 1 and 3/4 of a mile around. So as we went further in (cameras in tow) clicking away and having a great time, we didn't notice the sky changing to storm clouds. Our first clue was thunder! We pushed on hoping it would blow over. No such luck!!!! Thank goodness my camera backpack is water proof. It didn't just rain- it was torrential, a monsoon of rain, buckets of rain. Need I say more? By the time we found shelter under an over hang (more of a small cave complete with spiders and other creepy crawlers) we were drenched! We sat there like wet dogs and laughed thru the down-pour. All of that for 7 decent pics. (not great, DECENT!) Just one more saga in the life of a diehard photographer. All camera junkies have stories like this, I just wanted to share this one with all of you!

Omaha Zoo : These are a few images I took at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha NE. I have a lot more, but they are currently being held hostage on my Epson P2000. For those of you that have one of these expensive pieces of junk, watch out for the error code and request for resetting. Apparently, if you actually do what it says and reset it, the software gets deleted off of the machine. What this means is that Epson will not do anything about it because even if the machine tells you to do so, the manual tells you never to hit the button. I have plans on pulling the hard drive out to recover the images, and turning this thing into a paper weight. DO NOT waste your money on one of these devices!!!

Lessons in Sheep Herding : My sister, Jean asked me to come to her class in sheparding w/ a border collie named Mace. She wanted some photos. It was very interesting and confusing. I'm pretty sure the sheep had the lesson down! The challenge was for my sister and Mace. All in all they did great! Mace had something click for her today and got what the humans wanted from her. My sister is really learning the techniques of handling and training Mace! I only have one question; is she now going to move to the Alps and get some sheep to herd?
