DPChallenge > popular all-time > 01 October 2007 These are in the entrance foyer at one of my schools. They're been there for a couple of weeks. Usually there is also a display of flowers, but not today. I think they have interesting textures and colours.
Neat Imaged and then usual kind of processing, nothing out of the ordinary.
DPChallenge > popular all-time > 25 October. The fifth graders had to do a bit more than just running around the track. I could touch the second from left (2.6m, I think). I probably could touch the highest one with a bit of practice. ;-Þ
Fisheye lens still on the camera....
DPChallenge > popular all-time > 19 October School had (yet another) Open Day today. Here's looking down in the atrium, where the blue tarpaulin was laid out for the parents/visitors to put their outside shoes. They bring their own slippers.
IT IS kind of annoying, this business of inside/outside shoes: I had to go out to my car to get things three times during the lunch-break, which meant changing shoes three times...
THE long table has new library books on it, the small table has potatoes and sweet potatoes on display; the other table has name tags for the parents.
DPChallenge > popular all-time > Day 16 - Mountain Man

Or a question on thirds. For the "Rule of thirds" buffs out there; Does one crop this shot leaving room in the direction the man is walking or does one crop leaving room in the direction he is looking. As cropped here the man appears to be looking out of the frame.
DPChallenge > popular all-time > 27 October. Another thing or two on the wall. Actually taken on the 28th when the sun was actually shining through the frosted glass of the front door. It rained all day on the 27th because of Typhoon No. 20, which I didn't know about (don't watch very much TV...).
THESE are artificial floral and fructal arrangements made by my fiancee. The right one was really dark so I had to use the old editing program to bring it out more.

DPChallenge > popular all-time > Day 19 - An IT Archeological Goldmine

Sheesh, what is this place? I haven't been in here for years... The MPoE (Minimum Point of Entry) aka DMarc (demarcation point) as we call it.

You know how ATT leaves yellow pages on your doorstep, the ones that no one uses, well this is like your door step. Vendors drop Circuits and Phone lines here and then we are supposed to do something with them.

No one ever uses existing lines, can't be using soiled lines don't you know...so we get new lines brought in. No one ever removes their lines when they leave either, let the next guy clean this mess up...

...So imagine if you will 30 years of other peoples crap on this wall. Yes indeed, only about eight pairs of wires leave this room to my extended dmarc (another archeological dig) to control my entire site (phones/data). There are a couple 25pr that go into the ground but I haven't found where those go yet.

The funny thing is that there are live phone lines here (from past tenants) that somebody somewhere is (going to be) paying for and they don't know it yet...that bill will be a shocker when they finally track the co that the line belongs to.

You know I think I will clean this up...when I have time. :)
DPChallenge > popular all-time > 29 October I went for an evening walk and saw this cat sitting on a wall in a pool of light. Of course, the photo is very grainy...
