I spent a very interesting day in Silver Falls State Park.

Short version of the story: after hiking the whole Ten Falls Trail, I ended up somehow missing my correct trail BACK and got hopelessly lost. I ended up spending the entire night shivering and lost in the middle of nowhere in just under freezing temperatures! It was MISERY! Thank heavens for my wimpiness which led me to bring a coat even though I figured I wouldn't REALLY need it -- that coat saved my life, quite literally.

But of course it was all worth it to get beautiful shots like this one. :-)

Who says I haven't suffered for my art? ;-)

And if anyone's curious, I have all my Oregon shots up for your perusal. There are many more that I just loved that of course are not included in this gallery.

Also, I'm leaving on yet ANOTHER big trip, this time I'll be gone for a week-and-a-half. But I promise when I get back I'll return everyone's notes and everything! I've really missed you all! I'll come back with oodles more photos, you can be sure of it. ;-)

I have never taken a river photo that I've truly LOVED -- until now! I just absolutely loved the way this one turned out, I was so darn proud. ;-) It was a lovely little river to start with, and then I tried a few different things and this one just LEAPED out at me when I put them on the computer and I said, "That HAS to be my photo of the day!" No tree shot today, I liked this one better. :-)

This is, quite possibly, one of my favorite flower shots that I've taken...well, like EVER! I just LOVED that white against the dark blue, it was fascinating to me! This has become now one of my own personal favorites.

Another of those fabulous mountains right outside my window. I had forgotten I had a filter on the lens, but when I uploaded it to my computer I decided I actually LIKED the way it looked. It's just different than most of my landscapes so it made for a nice change.

Still trying to resist the temptation to take tons of flower shots all the time. :-) I haven't done a real "sparlies" shot for a little while, so I put this one together with my vast collection of pearl beads and this lovely little butterfly pin sparklie that I found at a local antique shop. (LOVE going antiquing! Lots of wonderful sparklies to be found in an antique store.) Sorry there's no real "bling" in the shot, I decided against using a star filter today, I preferred the warmth of the pearls to offset the cooler colors in the pin, it looked nicer to me.
