12/24/12 - Barn owl, once again captured at the Arizona-Sonoran Desert Museum raptor free fly program..

Thanks for your response to my water balloon Christmas card. Merry Christmas to all you smugmuggers! You've inspired, encouraged and instructed me during the past year through your comments, critiques and wonderful and varied images. I'm looking forward to another year of the same!

2.3.09 - The Original Newark :)

This is for Bill Pador and all the other members of the Dailies who live near "Nork Noo Joyzee". I had a lot of fun yesterday with an afternoon shoot around Newark, Nottinghamshire, revisiting old haunts and finding a few new ones. I'm still wading through the 300+ pics that I took, but hopefully they'll be in a gallery before too long, and I'll link from here.

In the meantime, apologies again for being AWOL from commenting, I promise to try and catch up when I get chance.

OK the Newark gallery is now up, please feel free to take a leisurely stroll round this pretty little town;

Pelican in flight; best viewed in the largest size. This is another of the reprocessed Everglades shots. I like it because of the clear detail on the bird.

Thanks for being so receptive to my star trails shot. It is always fun and exciting to try something new and gratifying when it works out reasonably well.

Hope you had a nice weekend. It was cold here but we had a fairly relaxing weekend.
Bald eagle at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in NM; best viewed in the largest size.

I sure appreciated the comments on my shot of the snow geese overhead against the clouds.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

A ruby-throated hummingbird; best viewed in the larger sizes. We're back from our camping trip to Southern Colorado. I always carry hummingbird food and a feeder and I set one up at the campground and almost immediately the hummers began coming. We camped at Teal Campground in the San Juan Mts. Really a gorgeous place!

After I left, Ed Spadoni posted an interview with me on his "2 Guys Photo Blog." I'm very honored to be featured on Ed's blog. Many of you have already seen the interview and photos, but, if you haven't, this is the link: http://2guysphoto.wordpress.com/2011/07/06/judy-horton-looking-for-challenges/.

Hope you folks had a great weekend!
