DailyPhotos > popular all-time > pigeon taking flight 06/08/08 you get this today because i had a (even the docs don't know exactly what it is but its at least an order of magnitude worse than a migraine)headache and also had a problem with my feet so i couldn't wear shoes or even my sandals. during the late afternoon sun i limped barefoot down the stairs knowing i could probably at least get one of the ubiquitous pigeons from my stoop. not a fancy subject or shot but at least i got it here. it is a very great pleasure to participate in this daily community and i thank you all

DailyPhotos > popular all-time > October 31, 2007 This barn in the field is one of my favorite places to photograph. There's also a pond and horses and ducks and a blue crane and a country road and...well, there's always something going on there...and it's on my way home. I thought this photo looked a little eerie, so I have been saving it for today. I did combine two exposures on this with my newfound Photoshop skills...one exposure was for the wonderful sky and the other was exposed for the barn and field. I would pat myself on the back but I can't quite reach...my daughter (who's birthday is today) tells me to get over myself. Heh. Nothing like a reality check.

DailyPhotos > popular all-time > Feb.05,'07 - "Potential" I had some extra time this afternoon and made use of it by doing portraits of my kids. Lainey is my oldest and some of my best portrait work has been with her. She's never met a camera she didn't like. :-)) I'm not sure I'm going to necessarily suggest modeling to her because I know what a hard road that can be, but with her looks and acting skills, I can easily imagine her in a movie career. Who knows.......we'll find out in 15 years or so what the future holds for her.
DailyPhotos > popular all-time > Sep.6,2006 Crown Royale Was trying to get a crown of two different colors. Wish it was sharper and more in focus, but this is a promising beginning I think. Had to get different paints, thin them down to the point where they'd actually give a crown instead of a blob, and set up lighting to not give harsh shadows but still enough light for a fast shutter. This picture on photo.net was the inspiration for the shot.

I was taking pictures of Gabe and his brother Gregory and this was the only one in the shot and the reflections I thought were kinda cool. Just a note to all of you for your constant up lifting on my dailies. This is such a nice place to be everyday. I try to get something worthy everyday but just end putting up the best of what I took even if it isn't great technically it might be something special or meaningful. Oh well...I'll shut up now. Just wanted to say thanks.
