"How Much is that Doggy in the Window? " This little guy waits at the window every morning for his master to get home from work and you can`t get a bark or a smile out of him while he waits with this sad , little face. I pass by his house most mornings and he hides behind the curtain , but he was braver today. I`m very tired so this will be my post for the 29th.This was the best I could do with glass between him and the camera..I wanted to pet his sadness away. This was taken last year 2011 and , I 've just met the dog owner this am June 19,2012. . Told her that I have this doggy shot for her and she seemed delighted to give me her address so I can drop it off. Thank you to the smug mugger who helped me to sharpen the colors!

9.2.09 - Snow and Rain We woke up to fresh snow again this morning, and although it was cold it was quite a pleasant day. That is, until I decided to go out and get a Daily. I had hoped to take some night snow shots around the Cathedral, but it was raining heavily! The last time I took some photos here I got a ghostly biker zooming through the shot, tonight it was a bedraggled walker. Apart from a crop to get rid of boring foreground this is straight out of camera. Despite me standing over it with an umbrella some rain managed to get on the lens, but I think it adds to the watery scene (well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it). 12-26: Another from the golf course on Wednesday morning. There was a heavy frost on the trees which, in this shot, was helping to pick up a glow from the sun.
Cotton-grass grows in wetlands. They are app. 30 cm (1 ft) high, so I got wet elbows and stomach to catch them at this angle
11-08: Friday afternoon I took a walk along the river near a place called Legacy Park in Fort Collins.

The morning flyout of snow geese at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in NM. This is actually a tiny proportion of the snow geese that were part of the main flyout. When that happens, the sky is pretty much covered totally with birds. There are some shots of that in my "Birds" gallery. They're not as interesting as photos, but they are pretty interesting in terms of understanding the flyout event. I was amazed by your response to my shot of the cookware with the reflections. Some of you wondered where I was, since I didn't show up much in the reflections. I was off a bit to the side. Unfortunately, that nice cookware is not mine. I took the shot at Williams Sonoma. Hope your week started well and that you have a great day!
Sunday, May 15, 2011 "ANTIQUE CHEVY" (pp version) "Keep calm and drive a Chevy!" ~ Unknown Author Linda (aka Lgood) is one of the absolute best at capturing automobile shots and their reflections, and I immediately thought of her when I spotted this GM classic. Unfortunately, there wasn't an information card, so I am unsure as to the year of this "oldie but goodie." My hubby's guess is it's a "1930 something Chevy." The pink sign made spectators chuckle. It warned, "UNLESS YOU ARE NUDE.....PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH MY CHEVY! BUCKLES, BELTS, AND BUTTONS SCRATCH." As you can see, I did some pp with this one, but it is uncropped. Sunlight - I had to wait that the sun settle a bit before shooting this one. I wanted the tree to glow. Cheers - JY
