DailyPhotos > popular today > May 7 Some time you feel like a nut other times you don't Orange. I got this idea while looking at sheepshot's site. I took an orange and suspended it in front of the light box (Thanks Oliver) and took a shot with a single SB200 flash lighting the back of the orange to show the texture of the inside fruit. I used my 105 as a prime for this shot to get a lot of orange in the picture. Took a few shots to get the internal focus right to show the veining of the fruit. Thought this would be different as my only daily shot from work was that same Heron from yesterday I saw today along the bay. Not as good as he got spooked real easy today.
DailyPhotos > popular today > my (dusty) lucky bamboo 05/09/08 couldn't get out today because of continued allergies tho i was happy for everyone else who enjoyed the warm sunny spring day. i tried an indoor shot but hadn't the enrgy to get out and set up the tripod so its not as good as i'd like focuswise but other than that i'm reasonably happy with it
DailyPhotos > popular today > 9.5.08 - Grace Under Pressure. This isn't a new photo, but it sums up today for me and I've been working on it a bit this evening (cropping and sharpening). It has been another scorcher of a day, at one point my car told me that it was 27 degrees C, and my head is now radiating the heat it absorbed earlier :) But I'm about to tuck into a nice beer, and very soon I'll be human again and looking forward to the weekend. I always feel like this on a Friday night, and this week has been particularly manic. I've worked hard and achieved a lot, but from the outside it probably looks like I've coped really easily. So that's why I feel a bit like a swan on a glorious sunny day. All serene on the outside, but paddling like mad just out of sight! I forgot to put this link on originally. couldn't get out today because of continued allergies tho i was happy for everyone else who enjoyed the warm sunny spring day. i tried an indoor shot but hadn't the enrgy to get out and set up the tripod so its not as good as i'd like focuswise but other than that i'm reasonably happy with it
