DailyPhotos > popular today > July 26, 2008 - Shirl Happy Birthday to my hubby (Mr. Kentucky Lightchaser - Don)!!! After our older daughter was killed in an accident in January, we didn't pick up our cameras for a good while. Our hearts just weren't in it. Then one evening, we felt drawn to that which we love to shoot most...sunsets, and we drove to a favorite lake in the area and shot a zillion sunset shots. Wonderful therapy for us. Here, Don looks as though he's in very deep thought. I saw the reflection of the sunset in his glasses and grabbed a shot. It's one of my favorite pictures. ~ Shirl

DailyPhotos > popular today > Motorcycles as far as the eye could see. I have never posted more than one photo on the Daily. But, I was so impressed with this sight, I wanted to share it with all of you. Communities rally together in support for Officer Josh Miktarian's widow. A motorcycle rally was held today at Southeast Harley Davidson in honor of Officer Joshua Miktarian who was murdered in the line of duty on July 13th. These citizens paid $10.00 each to ride in this procession from Bedford to Twinsburg. All proceeds go to Joshua's widow who is also a police officer in Oakwood. In Oakwood Village township workers voted to give up some of their sick time to Holly so that she may have time to grieve the loss of her beloved husband and father of their 3 mth old baby. What an honor it was to watch this sight right in front of us. We paid our $10.00 in support. More shots: here.

DailyPhotos > popular today > 2008-07-26 If you saw this post you'd know that this is packed for my fridge. I went to the Oak Park Farmers Market today and picked up some produce. It's some good stuff. The brown bag is Crimini mushrooms, not leftovers. I thought it was kind of interesting that we got the second to last quart of jalapenos. I guess since the salmonella scare with jalapenos people are buying them locally now. Time to go to sleep. Yes it's 11:30AM but I once again stayed out too late and am suffering the consequences by sleeping through my day off.
