This in one of 4 really big nuts and bolts that hold together the base of a old windmill in a town nearby. Has not much to do with Christmas... but we're not that much into the Christmas mood this year.

But that doesn't mean that I don't want to wish all of you here at the dailies a very Merry and Peaceful Christmas... this is still is a wonderful community!!! Be well my friends!

China Town in Bangkok comes alive after sunset. A number of stalls selling fruits, food, clothes, trinkets come up and do a brisk business till early morning hours. Not wanting to disturb her, I shot this lady without a flash at ISO 1250.

Duriyan fruit can grow as large as 30 centimetres (12 in) long and 15 centimetres (6 in) in diameter, and it typically weighs one to three kilograms (2 to 7 lb). Its shape ranges from oblong to round, the colour of its husk green to brown, and its flesh pale yellow to red, depending on the species.

The edible flesh emits a distinctive odour, strong and penetrating even when the husk is intact. Some people regard the durian as fragrant; others find the aroma overpowering and offensive. The smell evokes reactions from deep appreciation to intense disgust. The odour has led to the fruit's banishment from certain hotels and public transportation in southeast Asia.

Welcome to another episode of Lifestyles of the Penniless and the Ordinary. I'm Tiny, your host for the evening. Join us as we embark on this evening's exploration of the DiCarlo's living room and the tree that recently sprouted through the floor. We'll see if we can figure out what makes it glow at night and what kind... of flowers or fungus is growing beneath it.

The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it...John 1:4
Merry Christmas my friends. May the Light of the World always shine on you!
