I kid you not, I could have stayed for hours in some of these places, just taking photos of all the parrots. They were so fun! This particular macaw kept chuckling at me, I swear.

We're starting to get random bits of snow here, and it's frigid. I miss the Caribbean desperately. :-)

My link today has been a long-time favorite, from a long-time favorite artist.

CRABAPPLES IN THE SNOWSTORM

With temperatures plummeting
and more snow on the way,
I added a little color
to brighten this cold, cold, winter day...

Hope you're staying warm...and feeding the birds AND squirrels... :-)

Just for the atmosphere... I left out the sailboat... the romantic couple... because the place was deserted :-)
It's a composite of several shots with different exposures and shutter speeds.
DailyPhotos > popular today > ALIEN ?? - Macro of snails that were in the flower beds under the snow dust and leftover leaves. (Of course I gathered them up into a pile to take a closer look.)

Wish I could get rid of them in some natural way there are many, many of them in the flower beds. The roadrunners only take a few in the summer.

Another from Isla Roatan -- this place was completely GORGEOUS to take photos of! The landscape and wildlife offered so many opportunities. I wish I could have stayed there for a few days and traipsed around the island with my camera. This spot was my favorite little spot in Gumbalimba Park, this tiny trickly waterfall. I didn't want to cart my tripod around with me everywhere, so I had to try it handheld, but I was thrilled with the result!

Here is my link for today, one from a common favorite artist of mine.

Had a great session with this very talented and fun senior. It was very cold out today, but at least the wind was not blowing.

DailyPhotos > popular today > 2009 12-05 I managed to get Ashley to pose for me on 3 separate occasions today, so I thought I'd do a daily double. Thanks to my sis-in-law Tiffany for making this adorable hat!
