Well didn't want to turn to the archives again... couldn't shoot new pictures... so fabricated this. A fake moon, fake ocean, fake stars, fake shadow... oh yes, the sailboat is real, but darkened... the whole picture is not a masterpiece, but hey... don't blame me, blame photoshop... in my head it was perfect ;-)

For yesterdays picture... the real Azur is the one in the middle.
DailyPhotos > popular today > Emma and I took a walk down to Elder's Pond to watch the sunset. There were so many contrails in the sky. We guessed it was a result of so many people getting back home from the long week end. It made for some very artistic strokes in the clouds.
DailyPhotos > popular today > 2009 11-30 Thanks for all the comments on yesterday's shot! One thing that was mentioned was that there was no way she could look anything but calm and peaceful. Although still cute, she was anything but happy with her daddy for making her model...a trend for the future? Or just a stage?

Hopefully, I will have less and less of these...I got a couple more pointers from a news story I saw on Kelly Ryden and Tracy Raver (sisters out of Omaha). I need a couple more silly knit hats, and will being continuing to work on this series of my precious daughter's first weeks/months.

For post on this one I used SC again to emphasize that this was indeed the same child in the same outfit as yesterday. I played a bit with the blur filters until I got one that accentuated the feeling I was attempting here (are your ears ringing?). I did a selection of the face with a very soft edge prior to doing the blur filters.
DailyPhotos > popular today > Well, I've learned something important this week end and I'll pass it on to you, in case you want to get into doing "shows"----don't confuse "Art Shows" with "Craft Fairs". This Holiday craft fair, as large it is, is not the venue for me. I did sell things and I've paid for my 2-day booth already but, I had higher hopes. But when the customers can buy "things" very cheaply for gifts from someone else, they will. My booth was crowded and I spent most of the day talking to a lot of very nice people, both young and old. I even made some new friends! And for that I am thankful. I went through most of my business cards (~300!) so I'm sure I'll get some calls from some of those folks when their need arises. I kept hearing all day about what a great eye I have and to keep it up so, off I go again today.....
When I got out of there yesterday, I was at the top of hill, overlooking the Bourne Bridge with a gorgeous sunset unfolding. I stopped at the nearest store to ask a local where the best spot to take in the sunset would be. He directed me to Monument Beach. So this is where I spent the next hour and a half, crashed in the sand, me and my camera....
Have a great day!
DailyPhotos > popular today > 11.30.09 This family was so fun and photogenic! And not to mention sweet.... I have a ton of great ones of them, but for some reason this one really touched me.
