DailyPhotos - Most Popular Today : Baby Brownie Special...
We were visiting my brother and his wife several weeks ago and the conversation drifted toward the 'good old days.' In a box with some old high school annuals, etc, was this relic! Does anyone besides me remember these? Definitely brought back a lot of memories!
The Kodak Baby Brownie Special is a tiny Bakelite box camera made by Kodak in Rochester, NY, USA. It was produced between September 1938 and 1954. This was largely a replacement for the Kodak Baby Brownie, adding an optical viewfinder. Images were 15/8 x 2½ inches on 127 film.
The body was made in two halves, held together by a sliding latch either side; the front panel carried the shutter, lens and film transport, the back box just the viewfinder and red window. http://camera-wiki.org/wiki/Kodak_Baby_Brownie_Special
