DailyPhotos - Most Popular Today : Red and Pink, Lake Sam Rayburn TX
Nini and I took the boys to our favorite beach on Lake Sam Rayburn Friday night. The sunset was a bust since the sky was pretty much blank without clouds. But there were some new foregrounds to try out because the lake is really high right now after some recent rainstorms. The water was nice and cool too. The beach is made out of this material in the foreground. It looks like gravel, but its actually little pieces of soft clay. It's really soft and squishy to step on and it feels awesome barefoot. It's a great place to watch the sun set, even if the sunset is a bust.
This is a single 30 second exposure. I used a 3 stop soft step graduated neutral density filter to bring down the exposure of the top of the frame, and a 5 stop neutral density filter to extend the exposure. I'm fond of the long exposure effect on the water.
Critiques always welcome.
UPDATE: No dad! I didn't move the rocks at all. I'm too lazy to do that.
