May 5, 2015 Here's the backstory of this shot: After having been on a business trip all last week, I landed at Love Field Friday afternoon around 3:30. Friday afternoon traffic is ALWAYS bad, but this past Friday it was hideous! There were to protest rallies downtown and the sky was filled with news helicopters, I-35 was just inching along. So as a way to get around the freeway, I took a route that I normally don't travel. This took me under the fantastic Margaret Hunt Hill bridge which I think is stunning in it's design. As I was slowly creeping under the bridge, I pulled out my point & shoot that stays in the car all the time, and just held it up through the windshield. I didn't really know what kind of shot I would get, but I liked several of them. This is the one that I liked best. Rather than a "drive by" shot, it's a "drive under" shot. I'm off again this morning for another week away from home (sigh), but will comment as much as I can. Have a great week friends! Linda http://www.smugmug.com

08OCT2012 Milling Around Dell's Mill aka Clark's Mill with some Fall foliage all lit up in the morning sun......Great place, scenic area with lots of barns to shoot as well. Image won First Place in the "Travel Category" n4c.us in October 2012, submitted through the Omaha Camera Club. Comments are welcome, lots of Wisconsin images to upload....have a great day! Dan, sorry we didn't know you lived there....great area.
05-05-2015 "First Clematis" This is the first bloom on my clematis. It was on the lower part of the vine almost hidden. To get the shot of Sutton I had my lens right up against the fence while I was down on my knees. I was using my Canon EF 70-200 without the hood. I zoomed to cut the batter and umpire out. I felt like the umpire! LOL Your comments are always appreciated and very much welcome. Donna
