MS Statendam at dock at the cruise ship terminal, Vancouver, BC The north shore mountains can be seen in the background. I was the photographer at a private fund-raising event onboard the MS Statendam for the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra this summer. The event consisted of a lunch and a piano concert by Maestro Bramwell Tovey, the symphony conductor. With the permission of the Maestro's publicist I am posting a few photos from the event. Other photos, including photos of the Maestro at the piano, can be seen here (no photos of the event patrons are posted): http://goo.gl/3bbK6d 27/08/14 www.allenfotowild.com
Turkey Vulture - I was visiting family last weekend and I found some vultures(no relation) circling low over a canyon just before sunset. There were about 20 vultures, some on power poles and others circling between me and the sun but occasionally one would circle behind were I got some decent light. Taken in Snake River Birds of Prey area near Kuna, Id.

The Slea Head Drive is a circular route, beginning and ending in Dingle, that takes in a large number of attractions and stunning views on the western end of the peninsula. .. The Drive follows the coast north, past Coumenoole Strand, where some of the filming of Ryan's Daughter took place
Day 234: Eastern Comma Butterfly - August 26. Not flashy like some of the other colorful butterflies but the patterns and color nuances are beautiful in their own right to my mind.
Anna's Hummingbird, a follow up shot to the one posted a few days ago... Thank you for your views and comments! Critiques welcome... 26 August 2014
08-26-2014 - Robinson, CO is no longer there but there are many places all named Robinson around the area.         Link to Photo Without Frame
8/27/14 - Ford Mustang logo, taken for Rick's challenge but I'm probably not going to use it for the challenge, so thought I'd use it for a regular daily. Thanks for your comments on my shot of the passionflower. They are such spectacular flowers; I'm always excited to get to shoot one.

26.08.14 - The Colonel I'm experimenting with publicity postcards matching stills from Tell Them of Us with quotes from the letters on which the film is based, this is one of the first. The letters written by Robert Crowder from the Front are part of the family archive that was collated by his great nephew Robert Holland, seen here in a cameo role. Once we noticed the resemblance between Robert and the Colonel mentioned in his great-uncle's letter we just had to get him into costume and show off that moustache!
