September 5, 2012 There are so many unusual cars at the Bonneville Salt Flat speed trials, that you never know what you might see. This one was called a 1952 Bonneville Bombshell Buick. I didn't get to see it run, but it certainly was interesting. Here's a couple of other shots of the Bonneville Bombshell Buick: http://lgood.smugmug.com/Cars/Classic-Cars/12442807_4GBBqD#!i=2062709416&k=bz9rJpN http://lgood.smugmug.com/Cars/Classic-Cars/12442807_4GBBqD#!i=2062734832&k=sDSFt3R Enjoy! Note: This is NOT a B/W conversion. It is the full color version as it came from the camera. As proof of the color that is present, here's a link to a highly saturated version of this shot: http://smu.gs/1uA9uz5 These strange button or pebble-like structures were mid-stream in the Huron River (seen from a low bridge over this branch of the river). For size perspective, the largest of the flattened rounded shapes were several inches across. DP028-2015 Posted Wednesday, January 28; processed ditto Since I was finally able to get out and take some new photographs, for the first time in more than two weeks, I decided to interrupt my mini-series of shots from my London visit. Huron River at Gallup Park, Ann Arbor Taken January 27, 2015 Title: Mysterious Ice Formation Thanks so much for all the kind words about yesterday's post of the morning mist in Green Park. Your comments are all very much appreciated.

You just do." ~ Eric Jerome Dickey Great ball of fire? No, great ball of colors!! Here's another one of my artistic creations (post processed) with Topaz Labs. Monday, June 24, 2013 "MONDAY BLUES" “The best color in the whole world is the one that looks good on you!” ~ Coco Chanel SOOC, uncropped, flash fired "I think a number of us agree that Mondays are the most difficult transition. Although it has the same number of hours as the rest of the days, our internal clocks naturally operate on a day that is longer than 24 hours. It seems that it takes ages to get Monday over. We just had two glorious days off free from stress and doing stuff we love to do. Now we are back at work facing piles of tasks that meeting deadlines, list of appointments or some difficult unsolved tasks that we don’t really feel like doing." ~ Reprinted texts from http://www.123Greetings.com "Hey, come on… No matter we like it or not, we still have to get things done and to get the day over. Let's take some of the control back and make ourselves feel good by doing small things that can redirect your focus, such as share with your colleague about the fun you have over the weekend, reading some jokes, positive quotes or watch a short fun video. Let's fill up the Monday Blues with some colours." ~ Reprinted texts from http://www.123Greetings.com Here's the final test shot of one of my favorite necklaces taken with the new 35mm lens. I placed one of my crinkled blouses underneath as a backdrop. Someone apologized for posting a comment prior to me posting my "Starter Comment." Don't get the blues and "sweat the small stuff" regarding comments being posted prior to the "Starter Comment." I don't mind at all. Have a beautiful "blue" Monday! ***#1 photo of the day and all-time*** (photo taken 6/22/2013) My Homepage: http://www.Godschild.smugmug.com

January 29 2015 In the supermarket parking lot While I was away from the Dailies I got a new smart phone. I'm pretty happy with the camera as it allows me to get a lot of shots I would miss otherwise. Spotted this last October before Halloween.
1/30/15 - Late night snowfall; check it out in the largest size. Thanks for your comments on my other shot of a snowstorm. Much appreciated! I've been thinking maybe we should do a still life challenge for 1 month. What do the rest of you think? I know I'm not great at setting up still lifes and would like to learn to do better. We've been taking a Great Courses class on Old Dutch Masters. Some of them created amazing still lifes, which have given me some inspiration.

01-07-2013. Oil and Water Abstract. This was my first attempt at this and it was fun! For color I placed one DVD on a table around 6 inches underneath a clear glass shallow plate which was straddled on top of two boxes. Added a thin layer of water to the plate and dropped oil into the water. Used a table lamp for light. Camera was tripod-mounted facing down and I used a macro lens. Thank you so much for your comments on Maia yesterday!
