DailyPhotos > popular today > September 5 Johnloguk....this one is for you!! I really love synchronicity! Last night as I was posting the pooch shot for Hillary, I had already made my choice for today's DP! I was driving the road which takes you across the Big Island, from Hilo to Kona, when this rainbow began to appear! As I was taking the shots, I was thinking of the rainbows which you've posted, and that I would offer you this two-shot panorama! (The speck of white in the upper right is the moon!) Hope your day was a touch brighter today!! I'm heading up to San Francisco tomorrow with my friend, Rikki! My son, Travis--the Women's Soccer Coach, from the University at Hilo, Hawaii--is 'stateside' this week with his team. Saturday night we will be attending one of their games which will be played at Kezar Stadium (not too far from the Golden Gate bridge). Rikki and I will be spending the night at the same hotel as Travis, and the team, then saying our goodbyes in the morning. Then, she and I are heading off and meeting up with two other friends to attend a workshop at the Westin, Downtown. We're leaving ourselves flexibility as to whatever time we arrive home on Sunday night !!! I won't be able to touch base w/ the Dailies until Monday or Tuesday! Blessings to all!! DailyPhotos > popular today > Bird on a wire!! I came across a bunch of these birds today and they were all setting on the fences watching over a big field. I think they are a Kingbird, but I don't know for sure. Does anybody know what kind it is?
DailyPhotos > popular today > street grass 09/06/08 this was growing out of the curb immediately in front of my 'home' bus stop, since i had a few minutes before the bus was due i decided to try to capture it for my dp. my arthritic knees were NOT happy with the perspective i wanted but i've had much worse days (i at least COULD get down and up today). used the on camera flash, waited for some traffic and punched the button. unlike yesterday i only shot one because when things are 'on' i usually can tell i got what i was trying immediately and this is pretty much just wjat i was looking for, when things are 'off' i can just about push the button all day long and still have next to nothing. now if i couold just figure WHY things are 'off/on'.....
