Enjoy!!
I hope to be adding to his gallery on a daily basis, until I get them all included!!
So...drop on into the gallery occasionally, to see more of what I'm sure many of us wish we also could enjoy growing in our landscapes!!

Hello all! Got back last evening (Wed). Have a lot of catching up to do at work and here plus go through the pictures taken on the trip! Whew!

Missed you lovely people and thought of you when shooting in some spare time. Could manage to look up the Daily gallery only for a few minutes the last three days, can anyone guide me how to go through the daily pictures missed during last week? Do write to me at harsh@javeri.net
Thanks!

The scene: A group of commandos dropped down on the shore from a helicopter. They approached the floating target set up in the sea, set fire to it and returned to shore and were picked up by the helicopter.

DailyPhotos > popular today > Abu Simbel, Egypt

Besides the Pyramids, a must-see in Egypt are the temples of Abu Simbel, situated 280 km from Aswan. The two temples built by Ramesses II are dedicated to Re-Harakhte, and that of his wife, Nefertari dedicated to Hathor. Built 3000 years ago, they were discovered by J. L. Burckhardt in 1813.

The statues rise to 67 feet and are a majestic sight but the site is also famous for another reason. The original temples were built in a valley that was going to be submerged in Lake Naser with the waters from the new High Dam. In 1964 the Egyptian Govt., with the support of UNSECO shifted the temples, stone by stone; to the present site and took four years to complete.

Turned to B&W

DailyPhotos > popular today > Sunday August 10th 2008 ~ I write this while having a battle of the wills with Daniel (who said I couldn't multi-task) The battle of wills if your interested is over his afternoon sleep now usually we don't have any trouble at sleep time let alone an argument but every couple of weeks he will try it on and today just happens to be one of those days - I respect that he tries it means he's doing his job but at the same time I think why do you bother you haven't won yet little guy and today isn't going to be any different (yes I know I am a big meanie) but he is too little not to have a sleep and my sanity is on tenterhooks enough for him not to either (lol) ... Poor little guy I suppose I should mention the pic hey Well you know me and Mum another day another boat pic this one was taken down the near the jetty (@ Victoria Point) Mum Daniel and I go down if there is enough light left by the time Mum gets back from work (more often then not there isn't its getting dark really early here at the moment) which is some of the reason we haven't been posting much its just to dark to early which kinda just leaves weekends anyway we are actually going to Wellington Point to get a daily today if Daniel EVER has this sleep so see yas tomorrow HUGS (((((((((((((((((())))))))))))))))PS I am using spell check now can ya tell :)

KarinaBoese.......This one is for you!!

My middle son, Evan, lives just outside of Hilo, on the Big Island of Hawaii.
He has been doing an incredible job creating the landscaping on the acre surrounding the house.
I enjoyed much time wandering around his entire outside areas, of course-with my camera, in awe of what he has planted,
and what grows in their climate. Each morning I would go outside, with my coffee, and go on 'snail patrol'!!
And I should have been carrying a gun....these suckers are BIG!!
Totally different shell than those I'm used to seeing, and they are as big as my hand!
I'll upload a shot of one of the snails tomorrow...it's time for some sleep now!!

Several times, I thought of you and your gardens, knowing how much you would love his many gorgeous types of flowers,
planter areas and ponds!

I have started a gallery that will consist of only photos from his yard! However, I have only gotten a few of the many photos
uploaded; as I mentioned to you, I had many to choose from!

This bud will be a Ginger blossom; at this stage it was larger than my spread hand. I have included a shot of one of the
open blossoms in his gallery!

Evan's Tropical Paradise

Enjoy!!
I hope to be adding to his gallery on a daily basis, until I get them all included!!
So...drop on into the gallery occasionally, to see more of what I'm sure many of us wish we also could enjoy growing in our landscapes!!
