Saturday, April 25, 2015 "INSECTS INVADING FORSYTHIAS" (aka "Golden Bells") "I accept everything that ever has been, with no regrets, no resentments, and no call for vengeance." ~ Jonathan Lockwood Huie SOOC, uncropped, new 18 to 55mm VR II lens, flash didn't fire Another photo from the same bush as yesterday's...... As I was photographing these blooms, I watched the ladybug make its way up the branch; but, I didn't notice the fly to the lower left until after I uploaded this photo. These are such bright, bold, cheerful, bell-shaped, and can't-be-missed blooms whose genus is named after William Forsyth. It was a beautiful day and the weather was perfect! Have a bright and sunshiny day! NIBBS (Hair Salon) (photo taken 3/24/2015) My Homepage: www.Godschild.SmugMug.com

Portrait of a Basha Miao female elder Basha village, Guizhou Province, China. Note the traditional topknot in her hair. This lovely old lady gave me a very sweet smile as I took her photo. April 25, 2015 Wow! Thank you all for your comments on my photo yesterday (and everyday), I was blown away by them. SmugMugger's ROCK! I don't specifically recall where I was when I took this photo other than I know it was on the west coast of the United States. Bill and I took one of our many driving trips from Seattle to San Francisco all along Highway 101 (aka Pacific Coast Highway, California Route 1) and somewhere along the route, I took this photo. "The three great elemental sounds in nature are the sound of rain, the sound of wind in a primeval wood, and the sound of outer ocean on a beach." ~ Henry Beston Thank you for your comments and critiques. Have a great day my friends! Linda http://www.lgood.smugmug.com
Sunset at the D River Wayside in Lincoln City, OR taken tonight.
Strolling through the pasture, waiting for rain... 04.25.15
April 25 2015 Chicago River and Trump Tower. Yesterday's football helmets shot was just across the street from here. The helmets were set up as part of the NFL Draft which is being held here next week. There were signs saying you could enter pictures of the helmets to win tickets to the draft. I took a few but when I got home and read the rules online I learned that the pictures have to be selfies. :-(
04.25.15 More snow from mid-April.
Peachy
Getting a little crowded
April 25, 2015 I loved this live flower basket on this old store door.
