Never underestimate the power of tiny creatures. DP204-2014 Posted July 23; processed ditto Most of the leaves on this sycamore tree that I could see in any detail had been chewed up to some degree by some kind of invertebrate...insect, caterpillar, who knows what. A note on my processing. The sky was pretty pale in the original. I tried bringing up the blue using the 'levels' slider in photoshop, but decided I preferred the more dramatic look of the light background, so I ended up going in the reverse direction and brightening the sky even more. Taken July 18 at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens Title: Riddle Me This
Wednesday, July 23, 2014 "BRING ON THE BRIGHTS" "Every beautiful flower must grow through dirt." ~ Anonymous SOOC, uncropped, flash didn't fire Recently, there have been lots of "Flower Power" photos posted in the DPC. It's definitely that time of year when an array of colorful blooms are everywhere. Here's another photo (daylilies and buds) taken in the same front yard as yesterday's flower photo. Isn't this such an array of colors? And I do love colors! Have a wonderful Wednesday! (photo taken 6/17/2014) My Homepage: www.godschild.smugmug.com

July 23, 2014 I was watching the DF on the right waiting for it to stop being camera shy when (I assume) the same little guy from yesterday zoomed in for a photo bomb! LOVE their little personalities. On the road today ALL day. I will comment in the evening if wifi is available. GOOD NEWS! The new company was able to get a signal! We have internet...and IT WORKS!! Just in time to leave town.... Oh well my hubby will enjoy it while I am gone. ;-) Thank you for your great comments yesterday, always appreciated Have fun today! Jeanne
"Looking for Pollywogs"!! It was one of those hot, sultry, afternoons in a still heat where ,everything stood still. Went for a drive in the country .Camera in hand and a short walk brought me to this muddy, little stream and I thought of catching tadpoles when I was a kid. Where have they all gone? 23/07/2014
July 23. These bugs are everywhere in the yard these days, and this one found its way in my house. Anyone able to identify? Thanks for the supportive selfie comments in the eye of a baby bluebird yesterday.
I recently attended a show celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang. Shown here are two 1966 Shelby GT 350's. The car in the rear was featured in yesterday's post but the Shelby GT 350 H in the foreground is somewhat unusual. It is one of 50 that were painted Ivy Green Metallic and only one of 6 that were equipped by Ford with Air Conditioning prior to being delivered to the Hertz Corporation. All of the other vehicles, which in some quarters became known as "rent a racers", were painted black with gold strips . You could rent one of these beauties for $17 a day and 17 cents per mile. The complete Hertz order numbered 1000.
