5/29/15 - For the Lexicon Challenge: girouette - weathervane. We owned this particular weather vane for about 15 years. It was created by the artist, James Eaton and even though it has spent most of those years outdoors in Colorado's harsh climate, it still looks almost new. I love the face which seems to have slightly different expressions depending upon your pov. Thanks for your warm response to the work of art by Andy Tirada. I'm glad so many of you also had a strong feeling for it. I'm looking forward to seeing all your challenge entries.

05-29-2015 - Fractal Paroxysm The twenty three Moons of Moria are on everyone’s must see vacation list. They glow different colors and synchronicity. Colors will sometimes move from one to the other or pulsate. Musical vibrations accompany the light show covering all known aspects and "Argot". More common terms for "ARGOT" are accent, cant, dialect, idiom, jargon, language, lingo, localism, patois, patter, pronunciation, provincialism, regionalism, slang, terminology, tongue, vernacular and vocabulary.       Link to Photo Without Frame
May 29, 2015 According to Wikipedia, a Lexicon is: "the vocabulary of a person, language, or branch of knowledge." In the Obibwe language, Ninaabem means husband. So this is my 3rd entry in Judy's Lexicon challenge. This is my husband Bill doing something in his workshop at home. He's always doing something, if it's not for himself or us, building or repairing something or doing R&D research and work for Americase, then he's helping others with their projects, car repairs or whatever the neighbors bring to him to get fixed. Just a few days ago one of our neighbors brought over a Ford Thunderbird concept car to fix. That turned into quite an ordeal for Bill. But he loves it, and is happiest when he's fixing and figuring out problems. Bill says that mechanics invented most of the swear words. I can't prove that, but it could be true. LOL "There is no such thing as too much swearing. Swearing is just a piece of linguistic mechanics. The words in-between are the clever ones." ~ Peter Capaldi Thank you for your comments and critiques! Have a industrious and productive day today my friends! Linda http://www.lgood.smugmug.com

Friday, May 29, 2015 "I feel like a little kid who just walked into a candy store. I think that's something to smile about." ~ Brandon Boyd Here's another one of my "artistic creations" and I had an abundance of fun creating and designing it. It's also my third entry for this week's (week 3 of 4) "Lexicon Challenge" proposed by Judy Horton (aka fotoeffects). A Lexicon is an unfamiliar word for a familiar item, object, or thing. The lexicon for this photo is "SWEETMEATS" (noun) which, according to my Lexicon Dictionary, is defined as: (a) Bonbons. (b) Candies. (c) Confections. (d) Foods with a high sugar content (sugary foods) (e) Sweets. Have a "sweet" day filled with "eye candy!" (presentation created on 5/23/2015) My Homepage: www.GodsChild.SmugMug.com

28.05.15 - Gone Fishing? I've photographed this scene by the river many times, but don't think I have ever included the fishing sign before. It is all too easy to shoot everything from the standing position, but occasionally it pays to get down low or shoot through a fence as I did here.
29/05/15 Very nice and warm today. Went to Burlington to see the new pier built over the lake , but got sidetracked . I took lots of shots in the library gardens and Rob spent time with an old friend. I love lupins and this is my favorite color in the lot. Thanks to all for the comments on my lakeside scene from the 28th. Will get to lots of commenting time tomorrow. Happy Friday to all!! xxxxx

May 29 2015 Muntin Muntin refers to the strips that separate window panes. (Continuing my tradition of having to think something up at the very last minute for this lexicon challenge. I had nothing 5 minutes ago) Thanks for the tremendous response to yesterday's clematis post.
May 29 - Soothing Flow I love the sound of small water falls in little creeks or streams. Thank you for your comments on my iris bud I posted the day before yesterday.
