November 24, 2014 Antigua... This is the drum player the pineapple lady, in yesterdays photo, was dancing to. I wonder if they work together?
Sunday, May 15, 2011 "ANTIQUE CHEVY" (pp version) "Keep calm and drive a Chevy!" ~ Unknown Author Linda (aka Lgood) is one of the absolute best at capturing automobile shots and their reflections, and I immediately thought of her when I spotted this GM classic. Unfortunately, there wasn't an information card, so I am unsure as to the year of this "oldie but goodie." My hubby's guess is it's a "1930 something Chevy." The pink sign made spectators chuckle. It warned, "UNLESS YOU ARE NUDE.....PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH MY CHEVY! BUCKLES, BELTS, AND BUTTONS SCRATCH." As you can see, I did some pp with this one, but it is uncropped. The original image can be viewed here: http://godschild.smugmug.com/gallery/16609546_tdrqK#!i=1274849067&k=9MMHm66&lb=1&s=A Your comments on yesterday's "Got Mail" POTD are really appreciated; you all are really a wonderful community of photographers who are also supportive and helpful. God is and has been exceptionally kind to all of us; have a blessed and safe Sunday, everyone. March 30... My second Crocus picture. The ground was a mess so I isolated it
12-26: Another from the golf course on Wednesday morning. There was a heavy frost on the trees which, in this shot, was helping to pick up a glow from the sun.
Rusty old trucks in South Dakota
Sunlight - I had to wait that the sun settle a bit before shooting this one. I wanted the tree to glow. Cheers - JY

Tuesday, February 15, 2011 "LINES AND SWIRLS" Abstract "Bright colours or dark ones, sparkling clarity or misty atmosphere, landscape, still life, portrait - I haven't met a subject, style, or mood yet that can't be portrayed beautifully in pastel." ~ Dave Beckett By date, this is my 10th pp creation! Here's a link to the original: http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/15299231_BkGGq#1188286892_VWMmf Thanks a million for your shout-outs on yesterday's Valentine's Day post; it landed and remained in the #3 spot. You all really showed me some "love!" Also, I "loved" perusing your beautiful photos! Have a "Terrific Today," everyone! ***#1 photo of the day and all time*** (original photo taken 1/23/2011 and pp 2/14/2011) My Homepage: http://www.Godschild.smugmug.com

Monday, May 16, 2011 "442 CUTLASS OLDSMOBILE" (pp version) "It allows you to say things that sound very dramatic and get away with it. If you had characters in modern fiction say the same things as they're driving down the street in an Oldsmobile, they'd sound ludicrous." ~ Terry Goodkind Here's another Lgood inspired automobile capture. This cobalt blue baby was one of my hubby's favorites in the show. Unfortunately, there was not an information card, but while we were at the car show, my hubby (who loves antique cars) informed me that this is a "442 Cutlass Olds." He also stated that the chrome on the rear bumper, in all likelihood, has been redone. You can see a glimpse of my black / white animal print jacket and red cape in the bumper. There was a chilly breeze and the temps had dropped to mid 50s. Yes, I did some pp with this one, but it is uncropped. The original can be viewed here: http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/16609546_tdrqK#1274849706_xFHRmdP Also, I did some research and according to Wikipedia, "The Oldsmobile 442 (pronounced four-four-two) was a muscle car produced by the Oldsmobile division of General Motors. It was introduced as an option package for F-85 and Cutlass models sold in the United States beginning with the 1964 model year. It became a model in its own right from 1968 to 1971, then reverted to an option through the mid-1970s. Oldsmobile revived the name in the 1980s on the rear-wheel drive Cutlass Supreme and early 1990s as an option package for the new front-wheel drive Cutlass." (Reprinted text from here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oldsmobile_442) Furthermore, I am overwhelmingly and humbly appreciative of your comments on yesterday's "Antique Chevy." It landed in the #2 spot. Congrats to my friend sharkbayte whose "Clouds" pic was #1. View it here: http://sharkbayte.smugmug.com/Photography/2011-Daily-Photos/15280496_zofpQ#1291649048_zdNjmgz Enjoy today; a "blue" Monday may not be so bad after all (smile). ***#1 photo of the day and all time*** Show Your Ride Car Show Memphis, TN My Homepage: http://www.Godschild.smugmug.com
December 29, 2010 "LET PEACEFUL WATERS FLOW" "Nothing in the world is as soft and yielding as the water from a fountain." ~ Lao-Tze, Ancient Chinese Philosopher SOOC, uncropped Our youngest adult son suggested that I post this one. A million thanks for the comments on yesterday's Frank Lloyd Wright stained glass art! You ladies and gentlemen are meticulously discerning; I wish I could meet each of you on my route during this lifetime. Have a great day!
