Hole in the cliff Lower Antelope Canyon #13, Page, Arizona. As I said in another post from Antelope Canyon, I was trying for a different POV and palette from the thousands of other images taken in this iconic slot canyon. Other images of Lower Antelope canyon, including one with a bit of an optical illusion, can be seen here: http://goo.gl/9bzXVq 22/09/14 www.allenfotowild.com

9/22/14 - Part of the Chihuly exhibit at the Denver Botanic Garden; worth viewing in the largest size to see the incredible intricacy of the glass sculptures. I think the Denver Botanic Gardens is one of the premier gardens in the U.S. and the gardens were stunning with the Chihuly glass scattered throughout. This photo was taken in the Japanese Garden. Thanks for your warm response to my BLUE shot of one of the Chihuly glass sculptures in the gardens. The garden is open at night with the glass lit and we plan to go back to see that.
Sept.22. Spent the morning crabbing yesterday and came back to a dock full of ducks and birds.
Sept 22 - Seasonal Transitions I took this image by a local lake. They have bright colored adrirondack chairs and I saw a fallen leaf on one of the chair's arm. The bright color of the chair reminds me of summer's colors and the leaf has already turned to its fall color.
Feather fragment. From a Canada goose. Feathers look fragile, but are really pretty durable DP265-2014 Posted September 22; processed September 21 Title: Abstract - Down, Down, Down or Quill You Just Look at Me? IN7887
Monday, September 22, 2014 "EARTH GODDESS" "In my garden there is a large place for sentiment. My garden of flowers is also my garden of thoughts and dreams. The thoughts grow as freely as the flowers, and the dreams are as beautiful." ~ Abram L. Urban Now, this is my kind of photo op - interesting, unusual, uncommon, unconventional, and unique (ever so typical of myself:)! "Earth Goddess" (30 feet wide by 25 feet tall) is part of the "Imaginary Worlds - A New Kingdom of Plant Giants" exhibit at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. She is positioned in such a way that when visitors turn a certain corner, surprisingly, she overwhelmingly awaits and amazes. "The wonder and magic of Imaginary Worlds returns bigger and better with more sculptures and new imagination. Through October, explore a Garden enchanted by 28 fantastic living sculptures. Frogs, Gorillas and Orangutans join returning favorites like the Unicorn, Ogre, Cobras, Rabbits, and Butterflies. The sculptures have been re-imagined with new plant designs and are located in different areas throughout the Garden. Earth Goddess, the largest sculpture at 25-feet-tall, dones dramatic new tresses flowing above the Cascades Garden. This exhibition will be the largest ever presented in the U.S. and promises to be another ‘wildly’ successful one,” says Mary Pat Matheson, the Garden’s president and CEO." ~ Reprinted text from ABG's official website: http://www.atlantabotanicalgarden.org/events-classes/events/imaginary-worlds Have a marvelous Monday and a great start to the work week! Prayers for Indigo and family. My gull is from Bayfront park and I like the light , details, and the calm look in his eyes. There were many of them , who all seemed intent on basking in the sun. 22/09/14

9/22/2014 ~ Dawn's Early Light Sunrise on the Gulf of Mexico Galveston, Texas We got up at 4 am on Saturday and made the 80 mile each way trek so I could catch a sunrise on the Gulf at Galveston. It was worth the effort. Busy weekend so I didn't have time to post. Hoping for a 'normal' week this week. Have a great Monday!
Wild beauties Sept 22 Not sure what type of flower this is, but I'm seeing these little yellow wildflowers everywhere now!
