12/8/09 - Christmas Colors I thought it was kindof time to come up with another glass abstract shot. And, I figured tis the season for red and green. So, I've been trying to get a good shot for a few days now. I can't say that I'm totally happy with this one, but it's the best out of the batch that I took I think. BTW, when we bought our Christmas tree, I did pass on the tree stand picture that I took to the owner. I gave him a color and B&W version. But, I did this after I paid. He seemed delighted as was I. The barn pictures has been in his family for over 100 years. Remember the elf on the shelf? I think we have 6 elves in various forms moving around the house now:-) It's quite magical for the boys. They believe! Thanks for the comments on the camelia shot. Sasanqua camelias are fall/winter blooming plants, and I guess since NC has a very mild early winter, they look pretty well into December. HAGD, Maryann

7/11/14 - Sandfest Sand sculpture; this castle had the most incredible details, including the arch and lots of little trees and houses. Thanks for your comments on my shot of the unusual vehicle/sculpture. Much appreciated. I'm still have an awful time with my 'net access. When I do manage to get on and try to comment, I have to wait forever (it seems) to get images to load and sometimes I'm only able to view the thumbnails. Makes it difficult to really see all the high quality photos you folks have posted.
Springtime has finally come to our part of the world
July 5 ... From a flowerbed. Over the next 3-4 weeks we are getting a lot of family here and are visiting friends elsewhere, so my postings may be a little sporadic. Hope to be able to comment on your fine pictures
June 30... A 250 year old house of a sea captain. The two dogs in the window have a special meaning: When they were looking out of the window the husband were at sea, when looking into the house he was at home and her special friends should stay away.
