This one was a bit of a stretch for me. I thought I'd let people try to guess what the original subject was. If you think you know, you can confirm your ID here: http://smu.gs/1nZeJ85 DP259-2014 Posted September 16; created ditto from a photo taken September 9 After cropping the original, I applied a couple of filters. The colors in the original are pretty much as you see them, but not as vivid and contrasty. Title: Abstract - Mystery in Rust and Black IN7856
SEPT 16 2014 Was not going to post this but yes, Got it down some how.
September 16, 2014 One of my favorite things about Bike Week are the people. I plan on posting a few of my favorites this week.
Spotted Deer Buck and Fawn shot in Nagerhole, India
09-16-2014 - Looking for Letters and this image was edged out by another... Shaped Like a "r" this is an abstract of a Piece of Art         Link to Photo Without Frame
September 16, 2014 Here's another (of MANY) shots that I took while on tour in Upper Antelope Canyon. This was such a great experience, that Bill and I are already planning a trip back to do Upper and Lower again. I loved the mystery and amazing "feel" of this canyon. The American Indians hold this land so dear, and they revere and preserve this amazing place. "Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat." ~Theodore Roosevelt Have a grand day today my friends!! 9/16/14 - Sunflower backlit by the morning sun; this was in the same yard as the holly hock that I posted yesterday. Thanks so much for making my backlit hollyhock the #1 shot for the day! I surely made my day brighter to know that so many of you like the image.
Tuesday, September 16, 2014 "UNTITLED - The Concave Dish" by Anish Kapoor (2010) "A mirror reflects a man's face, but what he is really like is shown by the kind of friends he chooses." ~ General Colin Luther Powell The "Dream Cars" were the stars, but there were some awesome art pieces, too. This one was my favorite in the permanent collection. The colors reflected are from the clothes my hubby and I were wearing, as well as those of others who were standing in close proximity. Amazing! "In his remarkable body of work Turner Prize-winning artist "Anish Kapoor has combined art and science into a layered, multi-sensory experience for his audience. He employs a familiar form in Untitled—the concave dish—in order to create the uncanny sense of limitlessness through the myriad fractured reflections of the viewer in its surface and the astonishing acoustic effects that its concave form produces. The surface’s triangular patterning is a result of Kapoor’s interest in fractals, wherein multiples are equivalent to the whole. Kapoor’s work invites discovery and provides an endlessly engaging experience for its audience." Golf balls along this strip of land , in spite of the very ,high, wire fence. I found 8 of them. I was looking for reeds, wild flowers , frogs , and whatever unusual plants not available on my lane way walks , but I love how this fence looks in the greenery! Happy Tuesday!!!!!!!!!!!! 16/09/14
Oba, Japanese for grandmother. I had the honor of meeting her on our short trip to Alabama recently. She is 78 and full of energy. Her skin is beautiful and she is a wealth of knowledge and a treasure to know.
