November 25, 2014 Antigua Fort James Beach located at Fort Bay on the northwest coast of Antigua is popular with locals and visitors alike, a beach where you can often find a volleyball game, or a game of beach cricket to participate in. Fort James Beach is also a popular spot for cruise ship visitors, as it's only a 5-10 minutes drive from the cruise ship dock in St.John's. http://www.antiguanice.com/v2/client.php?id=455
11-25-2014 "Strike Away" You don't see books of matches like this too much anymore. This was a colorful display. Thanks for commenting on my photos. Donna

February 21, 2011 - "Restoration Questionable" This vehicle is on display in front of some Key West stores. I did some research and believe that nameplate on the hood is part of the original vehicle. Your response to my Key West sunset image was greatly appreciated.

Old lady at sunrise
Yesterday I woke up at sunrise. The sun was barely over the horizon at southeast. As I looked out of my bedroom window I saw this landscape to the northwest with the full moon as a golden coin. I at once grabbed my camera, opened the window even as the temperature was minus 10° centigrade and made some shots. Here is one of them. 10 minutes later the sun was well over the horizon, the sky was lit and the moon hardly to be seen.

May 5 1945 Denmark was liberated by the British from Nazi occupation, later American forces joined in. The picture is from my parental home where my parents gave accommodation to these two soldiers for about a fortnight as few accommodations were available. The soldier on the right is British and the one to the left I think was American. I am the boy in between. My memory of these days are vague, but I remember that one of them had a jeep parked in front of the house and I had great pleasure of learning to drive by repeatedly use of the self-starter and thus moving the jeep half a block away. As my father caught me in the act I was at once send to bed. The picture was taken by my father with his prewar Contax
Sunlight - I had to wait that the sun settle a bit before shooting this one. I wanted the tree to glow. Cheers - JY
12-26: Another from the golf course on Wednesday morning. There was a heavy frost on the trees which, in this shot, was helping to pick up a glow from the sun.
Cotton-grass grows in wetlands. They are app. 30 cm (1 ft) high, so I got wet elbows and stomach to catch them at this angle
