Welcome to fall
On sunny autumn days, the light paints pictures on the landscape. High or low, near or far, there are landscapes, and mini-scapes to delight the senses. No two days are the same. No two hours are the same. DP275-2014 Posted October 2; processed Oct. 1 Shooting through a thicket of sumac at the edge of a mowed verge on Cobblers Knob. I went to Killington, Vermont this past weekend ~on a motorcycle! It was so fun. I shot tons of pics from the moving bike . Most of them were pretty blurry but, there were a dozen or so really nice ones mixed in. It was 75 degrees all three days. Absolutely beautiful scenery up there.

October 2, 2014 Wow friends! I was blown away by all your kind comments on yesterday's shot. Thank you so much. This a closer look at the semi-restored home of Alonzo Russell in the ghost town of Grafton, Utah. The town of Grafton was a Morman Community established in 1859. This two-story house was built by Alonzo Russell for his third wife in 1862. His second wife lived in a very tiny house just to the right of this home, and his first wife lived in a home that was approximately 200 yards away. The buildings of Grafton were built from hand-made adobe bricks from the mud just west of town on the banks of the Virgin River. Have a stunning day today my friends! Monday, July 2, 2012 "COBALT MARLINS and TRUMPET FLOWER FIORI" by Dale Chihuly (2009) "I'm very interested in transformation and how objects are transformed. Reflected images will become as substantial as real works. It's not about the object; it's about form, color, light and shape." ~ Therman Statom, American Studio Glass artist I absolutely love color; and Dale Chihuly's glass art is full of it! I wish I could click my heels together and be transported to every city in the world where his art is exhibited and take photos. Wishful thinking? Well, here's a SOOC (no flash) shot of the centerpiece of attention measuring 96 x 96 x 96 inches; it is MY FAVORITE in this exhibit of hand blown glass among his current exhibits. Dale Chihluy, the artist, describes it as "a visual feast of exuberant color and daring form - brilliant, indoor garden created with blown glass flowers and daring verticals that reach almost nine feet above their base." Additionally, thank you for your comments on the "Spearmint Seafoam Set with Cinnamon Red Lip Wraps" yesterday. Each day, there are superlative photos posted in this community. Although my time perusing and commenting on photos is very limited this summer, I genuinely appreciate you taking time to peruse and comment on mine. It has never gone unnoticed or taken for granted. Disclaimer: Although I post what I like (emphasis on "I"), I'll try not to bore you; there's more photos of Dale Chihuly's glass art forthcoming:). Dale Chihuly's official website is www.chihuly.com Have a marvelous Monday.
