Oahu Sunset, Reflection off the wave. 1 26 2015
Sweet Creek Falls, near Florence Oregon Extra long walk back from the falls. Wet rocks are slippery, and I'm feeling the effects of my fall at the falls. Bad knee is worse now. Oh well.

September 23, 2007 Fog in the forest.
08OCT2012 Milling Around Dell's Mill aka Clark's Mill with some Fall foliage all lit up in the morning sun......Great place, scenic area with lots of barns to shoot as well. Image won First Place in the "Travel Category" n4c.us in October 2012, submitted through the Omaha Camera Club. Comments are welcome, lots of Wisconsin images to upload....have a great day! Dan, sorry we didn't know you lived there....great area.
12-26: Another from the golf course on Wednesday morning. There was a heavy frost on the trees which, in this shot, was helping to pick up a glow from the sun.
11/05/09 - Historic Yates Mill Pond at Sunset I posted a picture of the actual water wheel in my gallery earlier this year. In this picture, you can't see the wheel, but you get this lovely reflection instead. After Joey's flu shot, I decided to make the best of a wonderful afternoon and go for a quick hike around the mill pond. Unfortunately, we were really there a good 30-60 minutes too late to be taking good pictures. I had to bump up the saturation on this one to improve the color. This is the same shot taken on 10/26 last year when the sun was better and the tree closest to the mill still had yellow leaves on it. http://fotomom.smugmug.com/Yates-Mill-Pond/Yates-Mill-Photo-Contest-2009/7088136_34LZC#454338880_TdGL2 In both cases, the sky looks better in the reflection than in the final shot. I'm not sure how to get around that...especially in last night's picture when the sky really didn't have much blue in it. We still have not had a frost or freeze at my house, but it look like it's coming Friday night into Saturday. I am storing ceramic bird baths and pots and taking in fragile plants that I can save. I sure wish today was Friday... HAGD, Maryann

September 16, 2014 Here's another (of MANY) shots that I took while on tour in Upper Antelope Canyon. This was such a great experience, that Bill and I are already planning a trip back to do Upper and Lower again. I loved the mystery and amazing "feel" of this canyon. The American Indians hold this land so dear, and they revere and preserve this amazing place. "Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat." ~Theodore Roosevelt Have a grand day today my friends!! October 28, 2014 I probably should have saved this for a Halloween shot. My imagination sees a Screaming Monkey, a Roaring Lion (on the right side of the photo), and dark hand on the left side of the photo and an orange shark in the mid-section/left of the photo. This is another of my 100s of photos of Upper Antelope Canyon. Endlessly amazing & full of mystery and mistique. My imagination was on fire as I looked at all the watery waves of the canyon walls and the shapes, and what they reminded me of. Thanks for indulging me on the Antelope Canyon shots - many were tough shots with big sun and blown out areas. But what a tour of a lifetime! I appreciate your comments and critiques. If I were an expert in Photoshop, I could have taken out the blown areas - but alas I am no expert. I'm a novice at best. As I continue to work through the vacation photos, you may see a few more from the Antelope Canyons. "In more recent years, I've become more and more fascinated with the indigenous folklore of this land, Native American folklore, and also Hispanic folklore now that I live in the Southwest." ~Terri Windling Have a warm & wonderful day my friends! One of the ponies waiting for a treat...everytime you go outside they think they are suppose to get one!
