7/29/15 - Groom helping the bride with part of her gown; I just liked the light and the view of the couple with the trees and green around. Thanks for your warm response to my shot of the sunflowers. I love those flowers, too! A lot of terrific shots today, but I am very sad about John Loguk's giving up his photography. Seems like there is something wrong when a talented and skilled photographer like John cannot make a go or it.
July 29 - My thanks to all for your concern over my health. It is much appreciated. I feel better each day!

July 29. Caribbean Lobster, also know as Spiny Lobster. Spiny lobsters can be easily distinguished from true lobsters by their very long, thick, spiny antennae and by the lack of claws. There is a debate which taste better, but I'm not a seafood eater, so I don't have an opinion. Isla Mujeres, Mexico.
July 29 2015 Believing A fresh twist on an old quote from W. C. Fields. It seems that the Dailies are: 1. Broken - I just posted this and it is 50 of 89. Only the first 5 are current; after that we're seeing stuff that is years old. 2. Dwindling - just a handful of people posting. What's up?
07.29.15 Another sculpture from the Art City Splashpad. Today is my beautiful daughter Emma's 25th birthday. Love You Miss EmmaClaire.
Monday, May 16, 2011 "442 CUTLASS OLDSMOBILE" (The Metamorphosis) "It allows you to say things that sound very dramatic and get away with it. If you had characters in modern fiction say the same things as they're driving down the street in an Oldsmobile, they'd sound ludicrous." ~ Terry Goodkind Slight pp; uncropped Here's another Lgood inspired automobile capture. This cobalt blue baby was one of my hubby's favorites in the show. Unfortunately, there was not an information card, but while we were at the car show, my hubby (who loves antique cars) informed me that this is a "442 Cutlass Olds." He also stated that the chrome on the rear bumper, in all likelihood, has been redone. You can see a glimpse of my black / white animal print jacket and red cape in the bumper. There was a chilly breeze and the temps had dropped to mid 50s. Yes, I did some pp with this one, but it is uncropped. The original can be viewed here: http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/16609546_tdrqK#1274849706_xFHRmdP Also, I did some research and according to Wikipedia, "The Oldsmobile 442 (pronounced four-four-two) was a muscle car produced by the Oldsmobile division of General Motors. It was introduced as an option package for F-85 and Cutlass models sold in the United States beginning with the 1964 model year. It became a model in its own right from 1968 to 1971, then reverted to an option through the mid-1970s. Oldsmobile revived the name in the 1980s on the rear-wheel drive Cutlass Supreme and early 1990s as an option package for the new front-wheel drive Cutlass." (Reprinted text from here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oldsmobile_442) Furthermore, I am overwhelmingly and humbly appreciative of your comments on yesterday's "Antique Chevy." It landed in the #2 spot. Congrats to my friend sharkbayte whose "Clouds" pic was #1. View it here: http://sharkbayte.smugmug.com/Photography/2011-Daily-Photos/15280496_zofpQ#1291649048_zdNjmgz Enjoy today; a "blue" Monday may not be so bad after all (smile). ***#1 photo of the day and all time*** Show Your Ride Car Show Memphis, TN My Homepage: http://www.Godschild.smugmug.com
Bolsa Chica Wetlands... Bolsa Chica Ecological Wetlands is a nature reserve in the city of Huntington Beach, California. It is designated by the California Department of Fish and Game to protect a coastal wetland, with its resident threatened and endangered species. "Bolsa Chica" means "little bag" in Spanish, as the area was part of a historic Mexican land grant named Rancho La Bolsa Chica.[1] The Reserve is also called many other names, including Bolsa Chica Lowlands, Bolsa Chica Wetlands, and Bolsa Chica Wildlife Refuge. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bolsa_Chica_Ecological_Reserve Thanks for viewing, commenting and critiquing my photos, much appreciated! Single color . If you look at the horizon line you will see a number of windmills. We have a lot of offshore windmill parks around our country and they produce 40 % of our total power consumption and this percentage is increasing from year to year

A "play date/play day" with our youngest grand-prince.....

I love the appearance of the green leaves growing as a vine on the wire, as well as how the red painted poles provide a burst of my favorite color. Photographed in the same general locale as my yesterday's photo.
