I loved places like this in my teens and Hutch's stays close to the original atmosphere with arborite booths, outdoor benches , and a juke box at every table in the back room. It is so wonderful to listen to music , watch the sunset over the lake , see lots of people out and enjoying , gorgeous Summer evenings. It was very cold today but some sun broke through in late afternoon. ( Yay Rick, I loved the fin era . Those cars had weight and road huggability!) Is that a word? Will browse a little now ,on my virus free PC. See ya tomorrow night!! YAY!

The morning flyout of snow geese at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in NM. This is actually a tiny proportion of the snow geese that were part of the main flyout. When that happens, the sky is pretty much covered totally with birds. There are some shots of that in my "Birds" gallery. They're not as interesting as photos, but they are pretty interesting in terms of understanding the flyout event. I was amazed by your response to my shot of the cookware with the reflections. Some of you wondered where I was, since I didn't show up much in the reflections. I was off a bit to the side. Unfortunately, that nice cookware is not mine. I took the shot at Williams Sonoma. Hope your week started well and that you have a great day!
5th year Pic 155 - 14-Apr-2014. Lost in thoughts -2 - Worli Koliwada, Mumbai Worli Koliwada info Critiques welcome!
5th year Pic 156 - 15-Apr-2014. Lavani dance - Republic day parade, Mumbai Lavani is a combination of traditional song and dance performed to the beats of Dholki, a percussion instrument. Lavani is noted for its powerful rhythm and has contributed substantially to the development of Marathi folk theatre. The songs are sung in a quick tempo and mainly performed by ladies wearing nine-yard long saris, there are also men that dance in support with the lead dancer. ADDED: Rick, I've kept the bottom part as it contains the shadows of the two dancers which I feel adds a nice element. Terry, I tried complete B&W but looked drab with more emphasis on the shadows, taking away the attention from colourful costumes. More Lavani info Critiques welcome! It was interesting to note the varied observations on the composition and an honour to see my pic at #4 place! Thank you all!
