3/4/15 - Still Life from the Bar Thanks for your comments on my shot of the moon on a snowy night.
Bunmaster , could be his name! I think he is getting fatter everyday. I threw these dry buns out last night but cut them in half so they would be a better size for little paws. This was taken an hour ago. Going down to -17 tonight but a decent temperature right now. 05/03/15 God's Child, I know how crazy those weather patterns must be for your MS heat because ours' is quite out of the ordinary too.
March 5, 2015 Sometimes we must stand alone.
Thursday, March 5, 2015 "STAGECOACH" "Improving the stagecoach, you can create the perfect coach, but never a first-class car." ~ Edward de Bono Throwback Thursday...... I was awaken by the sounds of ice hitting the window, so I decided to post my photo for today. I peered out of the window and there is lots of snow! The weather forecaster predicted that we would get snow. If you recall, I mentioned that we got 4-5 inches of snow last Wednesday. Now, back to my "Christmas in Arizona" 2014 series....... Known as “Arizona’s country town,” Dewey-Humboldt was formed in 2004 as a merger of two neighboring communities in the Agua Fria River valley. The combination brought the rich farming culture of Dewey together with Humboldt, a mining community. "Dewey-Humboldt is a town in Yavapai County, Arizona, United States. The population of the town was 3,894 according to the 2010 census. The Dewey-Humboldt area was a census-designated place at the 2000 census, at which time its population was 6,295." ~ Reprinted from Wikipedia Hang in there; tomorrow is Friday! 04.03.15 - Beautiful Day It really was a stunning day yesterday, although still very windy. These shots were all taken within the space of about 45 minutes while walking the dog across the fields and up the hill. Apologies for yet another collage, but I just couldn't choose between the shots
They come and they go. Some are clear, some cloudy. Few are perfectly straight; many are distinctly weird in shape. Watching them is one of winter's pleasures. I have added a few examples of strange shapes from this year to my icicles gallery ( http://arctangent.smugmug.com/SeasonsoftheYear-3/1st-Winter/Icicle-Mania/21070984_8JrJJh ). DP064-2015 Posted Thursday, March 5; processed ditto Taken March 4, 2015 Title: Hanging by Threads - Melting Icicles I really appreciate the supportive comments to yesterday's fungus photo.

03-04-2015 Chopping Onions I've started a new food photography course, here's the link http://www.learnfoodphotography.com/welcome I can't tell you how much it makes me think about what I'm doing and trying to achieve. I struggled all day to finally come up with this. The course is free and it's only into day 3 of 30 days. Thank you so much for all your kind comments.

April 28, 2012 "It is of interest to note that while some dolphins are reported to have learned English - up to fifty words used in correct context - no human being has been reported to have learned dolphinese." ~ Dr Carl Sagan Well obviously I didn't take this photo, but thought I'd share it with the Daily Community because it's representative of how much fun Bill and I had when we went "Swimming with the Dolphins" in the Bahamas. Meet Soca, one of the youngest Dolphins in the Blue Lagoon. She's giving me a kiss on the cheek. We had such a blast with Soca and her partner. We danced with them, they kissed us and we got to hug them. Then we literally did go swimming with them. For those who may not have ever experienced that - here's what happens: You float on your belly in the water, legs straight, toes pointed down, arms outstretched, and then the trainer gives the signal and two of the Dolphins swim up to you from behind, they put their noses on your feet and literally push you up and through the water. Talk about a thrill!!!!!!!!!!! Funny thing about Soca - I think she liked me, because as we started to swim back to the dock to get out of the water, she came up to me and put her nose on my life jacket and pushed me away from the dock. I think she was playing with me, and was trying to keep me from getting out of the water. It was lke she was trying to "herd" me back to the playground. She was very friendly, and I wasn't afraid. She made several noises, and kissed me a few more times, then she stood up on her tail for me when her trainer told her to let me get out of the water. This is is once in a lifetime experience, and it was WAY COOL!!!! Thanks so much to all of you for your wonderful comments on my beach/palm trees/lighthouse photo from yesterday! SmugMugger's ROCK!!!!!! Bill and I are headed off to our first classic car show of this year (and we are READY) in Corsicana, Texas. I'm sure I'll be posting some cool, classic car shots in the near future! Have a amazingly happy Friday today my friends! Linda
