Juvenile Great blue heron in the fall. This guy was fishing under a tree where the leaves were starting to turn and fall in the water. I had to wait patiently until he/she moved out a bit from under the tree so his/her head was in view. 20/09/14 It was quite cold today but the sunshine helped. We hadn't been down here at Bayfront Park in awhile so I loved seeing people fishing, boats gliding into dock, seagulls, swans and water so calm it was like glass!!! Took lots of shots and walked a bit. We sat on a bench and had coffees before starting back. This location is downtown and we live in the east end about four miles away. Happy Weekend!
9/20/14 - Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs Thanks for making my shot of the mural in Old Colorado City the #1 shot for the day.

September 20, 2014 Decided I’d post at least one more bike week photo. These sticker helmets were all over the place, I took several photos of them but this was the only one I could post, the others had quite a few “BEEP” words :) Bike Week, Ocean City, MD
Saturday, September 20, 2014 "GLASS CEILING" "I feel it's a responsibility for anyone who breaks through a certain ceiling to send the elevator back down and give others a helpful lift." ~ Kevin Spacey As I was walking around taking photos, I looked up and noticed this interesting and abstract-like view. My complete "High Museum of Art" 2014 gallery is here: http://godschild.smugmug.com/Museums/High-Museum-of-Art-2014/i-gvQjvDP Keep looking up! High Museum of Art 1280 Peachtree Street, N.E. 19.09.14 - Cover This is the draft cover art for a behind the scenes photo book about "Tell Them of Us". With only one big day filming left tomorrow the focus has already shifted to post production work and publicity, of which this is one of my small parts.
Day 132 - The morning sun strikes rock formations in the Grand Canyon, as seen from the North Rim in Arizona; detail in this image is best viewed in a larger size. This shot of the Grand Canyon is one I recently rediscovered in my archives from the early fall and reprocessed. I used a number of different effects, including Topaz Adjust, Color EFEX Pro, and some regular Photoshop filter and blending effects. If you view the large size, you will really see some detail! I'm going to post this and go to bed. I hope you all have a really nice day! It is supposed to be quite warm here today. It got up to 65 degrees in Colorado Springs today, not a good day to sleep away. Oh. well. Oh, if some of you should like to look at the other North Rim Grand Canyon shots, they are here: http://fotoeffects.smugmug.com/gallery/6698528_KNq6d#476011624_efKkk.
September 20, 2014 I honestly don't recall where we were, but I do remember this awesome little highway. It had breathtaking curves, and wonderful tall rock structures along the way. This was taken through the windshield of the rented vehicle we were driving. You can see the motion blurr in the trees at the edges of the photo. Have a fantastic day my friends! Face painting was a favorite with the little ones.
About a year ago, I stood here roughly in the same spot and realised that the guy who'd been my best friend for the previous two and a half years, was actually my soul mate. And all the depth of emotion I'd felt towards him since the day we'd met was just pure love. I just hadn't realised. Even though it tore my heart every hour of every day for that two and a half years not to be with him. Sometimes places and moments - or just the feel of the breeze, or the look of the sun going down into the water - well they make you realise. There was this hour or so of bliss time when we'd been walking back along the river. During that hour my only thought was the overwhelming feeling of never wanting to be apart from him. Or even have him let go of my hand. The sunset was so beautiful . You get amazing sunsets across the River Taw. This photo just doesn't do justice to it. And it was standing by this bridge when the sun went down that I told him I loved him. He'd had to wait a long time for me. But things kind of moved very quickly after that. And my life changed. And I will always remember that moment on this bridge and how it was just a prologue to all the joy I have in being at one with him, and how much love we have in our lives together. I have put up barriers against people for my whole life. But I took them all down for him. I understand, really understand, love songs now.
