Rays from Heaven? From my backyard. Thanks for all the comments on the jeep. It had a lot of the original equip with it. Canvas wrapped canteens, and other related Army items under the seats. It was in good condition and if I'd had the money I would have bought it from my brother 'n' law. I had a friend as a teenager that had a hand me down jeep and we spent many hours tooling around in the outskirts of Carlsbad, NM. Tough ride, they don't make em like that anymore.
If you ever find yourself in Boise, ID this is the best. Goldy's

Tuesday, August 4, 2015 "SUNSET AND SILHOUETTES" "My joy is the golden sunset, giving thanks for another day. Gratitude itself is a source of joy." ~ Jonathan Lockwood Huie SOOC, uncropped, Manual Mode with 18-105mm lens, photographed from passenger's side of vehicle As mentioned yesterday, we were near the area; and after photographing the horse that was spotted from the highway (view or review yesterday's photo), we decided to drive around the lakefront. People come from near and far to rent the cabins for weeks/weekends of fishing and/or just to relax. There are trees all along the lake, so my hubby found the perfect spot for me to photograph the sunset with the silhouette trees framing it. Gotta love a good "photo assistant":)! "Lake Washington is one of the largest natural lakes in Mississippi. It may also be one of the oldest, approximately 700 years in age. Lake Washington is well known for its excellent crappie, catfish and bluegill fishery. Recently, it has produced large stringers of bass. Crappie are the most sought-after fish in this lake. It has been noted as one of the finest crappie lakes in the state. A study by the Miss. Dept. of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks shows that 2 out of every 10 anglers drive over 100 miles to fish Lake Washington, and 1 out of every 15 come from over 400 miles." ~ Reprinted text from here: http://www.baitnthangs.com/history.html Have a terrific Tuesday! California Buckwheat... Eriogonum fasciculatum is a species of wild buckwheat known by the common names California buckwheat and Eastern Mojave buckwheat. Wikipedia Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve is a nature reserve in the city of Huntington Beach, California. It is designated by the California Department of Fish and Game to protect a coastal wetland, with its resident threatened and endangered species. "Bolsa Chica" means "little bag" in Spanish, as the area was part of a historic Mexican land grant named Rancho La Bolsa Chica.[1] The Reserve is also called many other names, including Bolsa Chica Lowlands, Bolsa Chica Wetlands, and Bolsa Chica Wildlife Refuge. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bolsa_Chica_Ecological_Reserve Bolsa Chica Wetlands Huntington Beach, CA I think this is California Buckwheat in its late stages of bloom, but not sure... I wasn't going to post this because I didn't care for the focus, but my wife liked it : ). What do you think? Thanks for viewing, commenting and critiquing my photos, much appreciated! August 4. While on our Whale Shark tour, we also reeled in some fish. We caught all Blackfin Tuna, except for this Mahi Mahi. They filleted it right on the boat and made fresh Ceviche for their guests to enjoy. Isla Mujeres, Mexico.
August 4 - Anyone interested?
