05.28.15 El Jay in the stockade. This is the photo booth that I helped with yesterday at the 6th grade Renaissance Fair. The kids loved it! It was a lot of fun. From a photographers view, it was limiting with posing. We were able to shoot 100 students in an hour and a half--plus a few group shots once we had gotten each student individually. Overall, there are a few images I can include in my photo booth portfolio, so it was a win situation for me.
05-28-2015 "Cannas Blooming" My yellow cannas are beginning to bloom. They look so bright and cheerful. I really appreciate all comments but especially on yesterday's photo of the girls. I can't wait to let Sutton read them all. She will love it. Donna
May 28. While in Florida I saw this web and when I got closer, saw nothing like this spider before. A Spiny Orb-Weaver. Very interesting crab like design to its body. Despite their intimidating look, they are harmless to humans.
From an outside photo shoot yesterday...trying to get macro shots in spite of the wind!
27.05.15 - And Then There Were Seven! This is the same swan family that I featured yesterday. I thought there were 2, possibly 3, babies, but last night I found that there are actually 7!
05/28/15: Another relaxing and peaceful way to spend your time. To me, the best fishing is from a creek bank with a cane pole and not even a worm on the hook! :-)
ZARA The ultra modern Spanish clothing store, and the beautiful architecture of Old Town Pasadena. The first time I shopped in one of their stores was in Madrid in early 2000 - then they had stores in London and in NYC. Now, as you can see, they are coast-to-coast in the US. Zara was described by Louis Vuitton as "possibly the most innovative and devastating retailer in the world" . Thank you for all the great comments on RED yesterday!
Luffenholtz Beach in Humboldt County California.
Got to see this cute baby great horned owlet today..not on my regular computer,so couldn't edit the image much..I like to have never figured out how to even get a picture down loaded onto this laptop..lol. This was taken at Barr Lake in Colorado..got another one I will post tomorrow of the other two babies!
May 26, 2015 Tree Textures #TextureTuesday
Bridge and River in the Dordogne region of France
Day 148: Rose Portrait - May 28 Passed by a lovely blooming rose bush this morning while out for a morning walk. Roses ranged from pale yellow to warmer yellow and then reached this color combination when opened up. Bush was inside a fenced yard so could only get a picture of this one which was closest to the fence. Liked the delicate pink and yellow tones accenting the white.
