Foggy Path, September 18, 2011 Photo Taken in the Craggy Gardens, in the Blue Ridge mountains of NC. (Between Mt. Mitchell and Asheville). Elevation approx. 5,500. This Trail is approximately 1.5 miles long and can be accessed from the Blue Ridge parkway. This path does have a kind of spooky quality about it with its tunnels of Rhododendrons and thick jagged brush. Fog really adds to the effect. June 11, 2011 This is the same abandoned station where the marching line of gas pumps were found. You can see that shot posted on June 5th here if you missed it. I know many of you have seen it because of the wonderful comments which are very appreciated. http://lgood.smugmug.com/Other/Daily-Photos-2010/12484643_ezMcC#1367630283_kkxm8S9 This is another set of gas pumps that are older in style, and were in front of the abandoned station. As I mentioned before, there were 100s of pumps around this place. It was so cool. And here's an old sign that was in front of this old place- http://lgood.smugmug.com/Other/Signs/7752337_483tx//1061733754_#1376000970_H7MsspG This was such a cool place and it brought back lots of memories for me from days gone by. I hope you all enjoy it. Linda
This image shows a the water in a water balloon just after it has been punctured by a pin. Best viewed in the larger sizes. This was captured at 1/1000th second shutter speed. My grandson and I had an entire day of photography. We started early in the morning photographing red-wing blackbirds, swallows, and ducks at a little retention pond near his home. Then we shot more birds in his back yard. Then, we came to my house and punctured balloons, water balloons and played with giant bubbles. We had a ball! Spencer is a budding bird photographer and I hope to feature a few of his shots in the next few days. We are having new carpeting installed in part of our upstairs today. Lots of fun moving furniture and books to make way for the carpet layers. Hope you have a fun day, too! Thanks for all the nice comments on my most recent shot of the peony tulip.
February 21, 2011 - "Restoration Questionable" This vehicle is on display in front of some Key West stores. I did some research and believe that nameplate on the hood is part of the original vehicle. Your response to my Key West sunset image was greatly appreciated.
050211 Tree in Shohola Falls Long week last week with the shutter failing on my Nikon D50 and computer problems at work. Took a drive to Delaware Water Gap over the weekend to get away. Trying to adjust to my D60 but I liked my older camera.
